Stage Three of the Free Guide
How to Build Small Business Credit with No Personal Guarantee
Step 1 ~ Business Credit Bureaus
The business credit reporting world is unlike any other, the main reason being that business credit bureaus are not federally regulated as are the personal credit bureaus. This allows for a large margin of error an inconsistency when building business credit so it becomes more important to stick to the corporate credit lenders listed later in this guide as they have proven predictable.
There are three main business credit bureaus which we will cover in detail later in this guide but for now it is important to understand the part each plays in the industry so you can know which business credit file to build to help obtain the small business financing you need for your business.
- Dunn & Bradstreet (D&B or DNB) ~ Vendor credit, ALL automobile financing and bank credit cards or corporate & business lines of credit
- Experian ~ Vendor credit, bank credit cards
- Equifax ~ Very important for bank credit cards and corporate & business lines of credit
- Credit.net ~ Informational resource only
The remainder of this stage will provide a detailed understanding of each of these bureaus, how to create, monitor and dispute each business credit file.
